Welcome to the new Turas Siar Digital Archive website which will include old recordings, audio and visual and old photographs / pictures including artefacts. 

This is a unique project and the first such undertaking in the Barony of Erris.  It will also contain a dictionary of the old native Irish language which has also never been undertaken prior to this.  It will include the history of the old monastic settlements, old prayers, songs and books previously published.  The funding is provided through Mayo County Council and the Department of Rural and Community Development's Digital Innovation Programme.
